Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Position: RN Neuro PCU Scheduling details: Shift hours are 3x12s, nights. Charting: Experience with EPIC is required. Weekend Requirement: May be every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. Requested time off and special scheduling requests must be included with the submission. Facility may call off one shift per two weeks. Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. First-Time Travelers: Acceptable. Local Candidates: Not accepted; a radius rule applies. Pending License: Accepted, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, an active RN license is required. Required Clinical Skills: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response. IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care are necessary. Medication administration and handling of cardiac drips (no titration) is required. Respiratory support skills, including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, are needed. Isolation precautions and safety protocols are essential. Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:4 or 1:5. Patient population consists of adult patients with neurological conditions. Care includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses. The unit features dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring. Travelers will be required to float to other units within their clinical skillset. Candidate must be comfortable with floating. Compliance Details: Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment with exceptions for winter holidays. Candidates residing within specified distances will be considered local. Previous employees must be separated for a minimum of one year before returning. Facility policies may restrict eligibility for rehire based on previous assignment duration.
