Warehouse Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy Operations

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM; Friday, 10:30 AM–7:30 PM
Location: Onsite
Employment Type: Contract
Interview: In-person interview required
Certification Requirement: Active California Pharmacy Technician license required; national certification alone is not accepted

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented  Pharmacy Technician to join a specialty pharmacy operations team. This is a  safety-sensitive, highly physical position supporting medication fulfillment, inventory management, and shipment preparation under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

During the assignment, the Pharmacy Technician will also be cross-trained in  Operations Assistant and Materials Coordinator responsibilities and may assist with those functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Select, pick, and package medications and supplies for shipment to patients.
• Perform pharmacy-related recordkeeping and documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory control processes and related operational activities.
• Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Operate keyboards, departmental machinery, and other equipment as required.
• Work safely around moving machinery, including conveyor belts.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear protective equipment when required.
• Assist with Operations Assistant and Materials Coordinator duties as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity while working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.

Physical Requirements

This position is  highly physically demanding and requires the ability to:

• Stand for the duration of an 8–10 hour shift.
• Repeatedly lift 5–10 pounds throughout the workday.
• Occasionally lift 30–50 pounds unassisted during a shift.
• Reach and grasp objects at various levels.
• Perform repetitive physical and keyboard-based tasks.
• Safely work near moving machinery and conveyor systems.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• National pharmacy technician certification alone is  not accepted in place of the required California license.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience .
• High school diploma or GED that can be verified.
• Experience supporting pharmacy operations, administrative functions, or inventory-related activities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Strong computer skills, including keyboarding and basic word processing/spreadsheet functions.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM–9:00 PM
• Friday: 10:30 AM–7:30 PM

The position is primarily onsite, and an  in-person interview is required .

Assignment Details

The initial assignment may have the potential to extend depending on business needs and the return date of the employee currently on leave. While there is no guarantee of extension or permanent placement, there may be an opportunity for longer-term employment or conversion based on performance, business needs, and available budget.
