We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily financial operations for an agriculture-focused organization in Lucerne, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable managing invoice-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will help maintain timely payment processing while ensuring records are coded correctly and documentation is handled with care.

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval before processing
• Assign correct accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the system with a high level of accuracy
• Prepare and support scheduled check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation for tracking and audit readiness
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, missing details, or payment questions
• Monitor invoice workflow and follow up on outstanding items to keep processing moving efficiently• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role
• Hands-on experience processing invoices and applying accurate coding to financial documents
• Familiarity with check runs and standard accounts payable procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy
• Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining organized records
• Good written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders
