JOB SUMMARY: Provide regional leadership, technical assistance, staff development, and instructional coaching to build client capacity to support districts in the selection and implementation of high-quality instructional materials to ensure equity for all students through access to grade-level, rigorous content. Provide leadership to clients in making connections between programs, including but not limited to Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC), Learning Alive, and core content areas.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge
• Master's degree required from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• Three years of relevant teaching experience.
• Certified Research-Based Instructional Strategies and Product Advisor preferred upon hire.
• Experience in facilitating professional development, instructional coaching, mentoring, and professional learning communities that promote change.
• Experience in curriculum development and implementation.

Skills/Abilities
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate ability to implement instructional practices that increase student achievement.
• Demonstrate effective job-related skills that model effective integration of technology.
• Experience with Blended Learning preferred.
• Demonstrate competence with assisting others to integrate technology into the curriculum appropriately.
• Proficiency with standard functions within applications such as Microsoft 365/Google, (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software), e-mail, web browsers, and databases.
• Proficiency with computers (PCs and/or MACs) to include file and desktop management and operations and working in a cloud-based and/or networked environment.

PRODUCTS/OUTCOMES
• Oversee Local Education Agency (LEAs) with piloting and adopting instructional materials.
• Oversee and execute content-specific research-based instructional strategies training educators and leaders.
• Assist LEAs in making connections between programs such as TCMPC, Core, Learning Alive and personalized learning.
• Manage the collection and analyzation of district feedback and summarize recommendations for instructional materials and continuous improvement training.
• Identify and provide districts with appropriate instructional strategies, materials, and performance measures for improved student performance for all students.
• Provide instructional coaching to LEAs around the integration of TCMPC and aspects of personalized learning, such as Learning Alive.
• Promote the delivery of instructional programs in inclusive learning environments.
• Work with district/campus personnel to develop long-term systematic instructional coaching and staff development plans for teachers based on district/campus goals and student achievement data.
• Assist districts in establishing quality instructional programs that meet and exceed TEA accountability standards.
• Plan, organize, and conduct instructional coaching activities related to the state adopted instructional materials.
• Utilize appropriate educational technology in the delivery of programs and services.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Report progress of improvement efforts to Center personnel and Local Education Agencies.

SUPERVISION AND ORGANIZATION OF STAFF
• None.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY
• Be aware of and follow Center guidelines of allowable costs when recommending use of public funds for expenditures for supplies, equipment, and facilities in area of assignment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
• Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer, peripherals, copy machine, phone, etc.
• Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
• Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
• Lifting: Light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional heavy lifting/carrying (15-50 pounds).
• Environment: This role primarily operates in an in-person, dynamic office setting, characterized by frequent verbal communication, movement, and collaboration among team members (small to large in-person gatherings/meetings); exposure to low or intense illumination; exposure to office equipment noise; may work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent travel; and, occasional remote work (after pre-determined length of employment).
• Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Champion and model the Center's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Service Standards.
• Function within the policies and procedures of ESC-20.
• Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
• Dress and groom appropriately for the ESC-20 work setting.
• Travel independently to fulfill responsibilities of the position.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, majority in-person/onsite.
• Serve at the will of the Executive Director.
