RN Supervisor Med Surg Ortho CNC

Job Summary A Full‑Time Day Shift position (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) with rotating weekends. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. Responsibilities Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient‑centered care. Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with management. Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork and improved patient outcomes. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Support facility efforts to improve engagement through operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives. Recommend and implement staff training, development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to maintain a high‑performing organization. Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Texas or holding an active compact license. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required. One year of applicable MedSurg experience required, preferably in Ortho.
