Woodward Community Based Services (WCBS) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Youth Service Worker to provide in-home treatment and skill-building services to youth and families in the community.

In this role, you will work directly with youth ages 11–19 and their families to build skills, address identified needs, and support positive change. Services are primarily provided in the youth's home and community, allowing you to build meaningful relationships while helping youth work toward individualized goals.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience or education in social work, psychology, criminal justice, education, human services, or a related field who enjoys working one-on-one with youth and families.

• Provide in-home Skill Development services to youth ages 11–19 and their families.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 8–12 youth.
• Provide approximately two hours of Skill Development services per week to each assigned youth and family.
• Help youth develop practical skills based on their individual needs and goals.
• Build positive, professional relationships with youth and families while maintaining appropriate boundaries, structure, and safety.
• Complete EPICS-I training and utilize EPICS-I as a resource for skill development.
• Maintain timely and accurate service notes, reports, releases, and other required documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents, Juvenile Court Services, and other professionals involved with the youth.
• Coordinate with schools, mental health providers, healthcare providers, child welfare professionals, and community partners.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
• Participate in supervision, training, team meetings, and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, agency policies, and professional standards.

WCBS is committed to providing quality, trauma-responsive services that help youth and families develop skills, strengthen relationships, and achieve positive outcomes within their homes and communities.

• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, or a related social science field; OR
• Two years of college education and at least one year of full-time employment working with at-risk youth or in law enforcement.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in home and community settings while collaborating with youth, families, and other professionals.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and respond effectively to challenging or crisis situations.
• Valid driver's license and sufficient liability insurance coverage on the vehicle used for travel to clients.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of youth and families.
• Successful completion of required background checks.
