Marketing/Communications Coordinator

We are looking for a skilled Marketing/Communications Coordinator to support a government organization in California. This long-term contract position will focus on strengthening public awareness of related programs, policies, and services through clear, effective communication across print, digital, and social channels. The role is ideal for a communications specialist who can balance content development, brand consistency, vendor coordination, and audience engagement in a highly structured environment.Responsibilities:• Lead the development and execution of communication initiatives that improve understanding of benefits, procedures, and policy information.• Maintain a consistent organizational voice and visual identity across publications, outreach materials, reports, and public-facing messaging.• Produce, revise, and manage written and visual content such as forms, brochures, newsletters, flyers, and other marketing collateral.• Update and maintain website content to ensure information remains accurate, current, and accessible to target audiences.• Plan, create, and publish social media content for platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook in alignment with communication goals.• Coordinate the creation of video and multimedia assets by working closely with graphic design and audio-visual resources.• Oversee external vendor engagements, including contract administration, request-for-proposal activities, deliverable review, and budget compliance.• Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for stronger outreach and more effective communications.
