Dietary Aide – Part TimeWestern Slope Healthcare Center – Placerville, CA Starting at $18.00/hour DOEMake Every Meal Matter!Western Slope Healthcare Center is looking for a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by assisting with meal service, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and supporting the dietary team.If you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and want a rewarding career serving seniors, we'd love to meet you!What You'll DoSet up and prepare resident meal trays.Assist with serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.Clear and wash returned trays, dishes, utensils, and cookware.Operate the commercial dishwasher safely and efficiently.Check and document dishwasher chlorine concentration and water temperatures.Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents.Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors and work areas.Clean kitchen equipment, refrigerators, work surfaces, and serving areas.Put away food deliveries in a safe, organized, and sanitary manner.Remove trash and maintain a clean kitchen throughout the shift.Assist the Cook and Dietary Supervisor with daily kitchen operations.Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary department training.Work cooperatively with nursing staff and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.Ability to read recipes and follow written procedures.Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.Food Handler Certificate required (or ability to obtain and maintain).Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.Physical RequirementsFrequently stand and walk throughout the shift.Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Frequently push, pull, bend, reach, and perform cleaning duties.Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.Why Join Western Slope Healthcare Center?Part-Time PositionStarting wage of $18.00/hour DOEFriendly and supportive team environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily livesStable healthcare employer with opportunities for growth and advancementRewarding work serving seniors in our communityEqual Employment Opportunity StatementWestern Slope Healthcare Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
