An SF‑50 that shows your time‑in‑grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF‑50 has an effective date within the past year it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one‑year time‑in‑grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance you must provide an additional SF‑50 that clearly demonstrates one‑year time‑in‑grade. Note: Time‑In‑Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. Specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑5 level in the Federal service is required. Technology Application – uses machines, tools, or equipment effectively; uses computers and computer applications/systems to analyze and communicate information in the appropriate format. Experience may include paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and may provide valuable training that translates directly to paid employment. A full year of work is considered to be 35‑40 hours per week. Part‑time experience will be credited based on hours actually worked. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: The work requires standing and walking throughout the day, frequent bending and lifting of supply packages (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and may involve pushing loaded carts of medical supplies (over 100 pounds). Staff may use weight‑handling equipment for items over 40 pounds. Duties include operating ADP equipment such as barcode scanners, computers, and printers. This role spans various environments – wards, storage buildings, and warehouses – ranging from clean to hot, cold, drafts, and poorly lit areas. The incumbent may be exposed to trips, falls, scrapes, cuts, bruises, or injuries. Supplies are stocked across primary and secondary inventory points throughout the hospital without compromising a clean environment or producing dust or other pollutants. Driver’s License Requirement: Incumbent must possess a current, valid, state‑issued driver’s license.
