Logistics Coordinator

LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the Shakopee area to hire a Logistics Coordinator . This role is ideal for someone with early logistics experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and thrives on problem‑solving and coordination. This position will start fully onsite for training , then transition to a hybrid schedule . Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery Partner with internal teams and external vendors to align transportation with operational needs Monitor shipment activity and proactively address delays, routing issues, or equipment constraints Maintain accurate shipment data, tracking details, and transportation records Communicate shipment updates and timelines with stakeholders, including customers, carriers, and internal teams Support routing and scheduling decisions to improve efficiency and service levels Assist in analyzing transportation data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges in real time Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination Experience working with rail, truck, or freight shipments preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving skills and follow-through Preferred Qualifications Experience in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, or bulk materials Familiarity with transportation or logistics software/systems Knowledge of freight operations, scheduling, or shipment tracking Comfort working in a fast-moving, operations-focused environment Why This Role Hybrid flexibility after training period Opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding organization Hands‑on role with strong exposure to transportation and logistics operations Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
