We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Financial Aid Advisor to guide students through the complex landscape of financial assistance options. In this vital role, you will serve as a trusted resource, helping students understand their financial aid opportunities, complete applications accurately, and navigate the entire process with confidence. Responsibilities Assist students in understanding available financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study opportunities Guide students through the application process, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted correctly Provide personalized counseling sessions to address individual financial situations and answer questions about eligibility and award packages Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and awards in the institution’s database Collaborate with departments to verify student eligibility and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Conduct outreach activities to promote awareness of financial aid resources among prospective and current students Stay informed about changes in federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies to provide up-to-date guidance The ability to work two late nights per week till 7pm (Tuesday & Wednesday) Skills Strong knowledge of higher education financial aid processes and regulations Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex information to diverse audiences Proven ability to work effectively with students, providing empathetic support and guidance Familiarity with university systems and student information management software Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Demonstrated commitment to student success and educational accessibility This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students’ academic pursuits through expert financial guidance.
