MRI Technologist

Role and Responsibilities The MRI Technologist produces high-quality MRI images as ordered by physicians, communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, and physicians, and interacts with patients and families throughout procedures. They prepare patients, assist with scheduling, maintain clinical documentation, manage medical supplies, respond to patient inquiries, and act as a point of contact in the absence of a department manager. The role involves completing ongoing education to stay current with procedures and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, graduate from a Radiological Technology program, and be eligible for or registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. An Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License is required before starting, and MRI Advanced Certification must be obtained within 12 months. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, one or more years of MRI experience, and additional certifications.
