Job Description
Instrumentation Coordinator / Sterile Processing

Schedule

1st shift - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Rotating weekends and occasional holidays required.

Assignment Details

Travel assignment required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Travel experience required.
• Trauma experience (Trauma Level II required; Level I preferred).
• Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (IAHCSMM/HSPA acceptable).
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Skills in instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and tracking required.

Responsibilities

• Manage decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage.
• Act as OR liaison and ensure instrument tracking and standardization.
• Perform sterilization processes and high-level disinfection.
• Utilize AERs, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilization equipment effectively.
• Handle preference card management and scope reprocessing.

Compliance / Notes

Urgent fingerprinting required. Two professional references needed, including one from a manager or director. Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
