PhlebotomistWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced phlebotomist to join our team at a nationally recognized hospital lab. This role involves performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens with precision and care.ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws and venipunctures accurately.Label and process specimens, including blood and urine.Centrifuge specimens and ensure proper handling.Greet patients warmly and professionally.Enter physicians orders or retrieve existing orders from the system.Collect payments from patients when necessary.Troubleshoot difficult blood draw situations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.Ensure all specimens are scanned and logged appropriately.Essential Skills2+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and difficult sticks.Proficiency in venipunctures within a lab or hospital setting.Ability to perform lab draws and specimen processing.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ year of experience in a medical diagnostic lab or hospital laboratory.High School Diploma or GED.Work EnvironmentThis position is based at the Ocala patient service center located on 17th St in Ocala, FL. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The role offers the opportunity to work with a large, well-established medical diagnostic company onsite at a nationally recognized hospital lab.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
