As we continue to scale, we are building a high-performing team ready to execute and lead in a competitive environment.What we offer:Compensation: $70,000-80,000 annually depending on experienceMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance on the first of the month after you begin employmentCompetitive additional benefits including HSA, FSA, Dependable Care, EAP services, etc.11 Days of accrued PTO that will increase with tenure in addition to 2 Wellness Days & Volunteer Hours401k program with an employer match after six months of employmentWhat the role is about: As a Master HVAC Technician, you will lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and dehumidification systems across Vireo Health's retail dispensaries and commercial cultivation and production facilities throughout Colorado. You will serve as the senior technical expert on our facilities team, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring systems run safely and efficiently, and mentoring less experienced technicians while helping us maintain the controlled environments our products depend on.What impact you'll make:Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on HVAC, refrigeration, and dehumidification systems across Colorado retail dispensaries and commercial cultivation and production facilitiesInstall, calibrate, and commission new HVAC equipment to support facility build-outs, expansions, and retrofitsTroubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to minimize equipment downtime and product lossEnsure all HVAC work complies with state and local mechanical codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specificationsManage relationships with HVAC vendors and subcontractors, and coordinate outside work when neededRespond to emergency service calls and provide on-call, after-hours support as neededMonitor building automation and control systems to optimize environmental conditions and energy efficiencyMaintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and equipment documentationTrain and mentor junior technicians on system troubleshooting and best practicesPartner with facilities and operations leadership to plan preventive maintenance schedules and capital improvement projectsWhat you've accomplished:5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, including experience in both commercial and retail environmentsColorado state-required HVAC licensure at the Master or Journeyman level, plus current EPA Section 608 Universal certificationProven expertise with commercial refrigeration, rooftop units, mini-splits, dehumidification systems, and building automation controlsStrong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls troubleshootingValid driver's license and willingness to travel between retail and commercial sites across ColoradoAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environmental conditions, including cultivation and production facilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and job sitesExperience in the cannabis industry preferred but not requiredWhy Choose Vireo?
