Job Description NBCUniversal Local is seeking a creative, digitally savvy, and audience-focused Multiplatform Lifestyle Producer to help lead the growth of New York Live and Acceso Total across social, digital, streaming, and emerging platforms. This producer will serve as a key member of the Multiplatform Team, working closely with the New York Live and Acceso Total teams to create compelling lifestyle content that connects with audiences wherever they consume content. The ideal candidate understands tri-state culture, entertainment, food, fashion, trends, community events, and the personalities that drive conversation online. The Multiplatform Lifestyle Producer will be responsible for identifying, producing, and publishing engaging content designed specifically for social and digital audiences while helping bridge traditional lifestyle programming with multiplatform storytelling. The successful candidate is highly organized, collaborative, innovative, and passionate about creating content that drives audience growth, engagement, and conversation. Responsibilities Develop, produce, write, edit, and publish lifestyle content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, streaming platforms, and digital properties. Collaborate closely with New York Live and Acceso Total producers, talent, and management to identify stories, segments, and moments that can be transformed into multiplatform content. Produce original social-first content focused on tri-state lifestyle topics including food, entertainment, fashion, culture, trends, celebrity interviews, local events, and community stories. Identify opportunities to extend linear content into digital and social experiences while developing original content that exists exclusively on multiplatform platforms. Capture and edit short-form video content, including behind-the-scenes moments, talent-driven content, explainers, interviews, and trend-based storytelling. Write compelling social copy, headlines, and digital content optimized for audience engagement and platform performance. Work with station talent and lifestyle contributors to develop authentic, personality-driven content that strengthens audience connection. Collaborate with the broader Multiplatform Team to support streaming, digital, and social initiatives across NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47. Assist in the execution of sponsored and branded content initiatives while ensuring adherence to NBCUniversal standards and guidelines. Stay current on emerging social platforms, creator trends, and audience behaviors. Participate in special event coverage, community initiatives, and station-wide multiplatform projects. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience producing content for digital, social, lifestyle, entertainment, or broadcast media platforms. Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging digital products. Demonstrated experience creating engaging short-form video content that drives audience growth and engagement. Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment skills. Experience shooting, editing, and publishing content using Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, mobile editing platforms, or similar tools. Knowledge of social video best practices including hooks, pacing, captions, graphics, and audience retention strategies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with on-air talent, producers, and management. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Deep knowledge of New York City lifestyle, entertainment, culture, dining, and events. Experience interpreting analytics and translating audience insights into content decisions. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced media environment. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. Desired Characteristics Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Experience working with lifestyle, entertainment, or branded content. Strong understanding of creator culture and influencer-driven storytelling. Self-starter with a passion for innovation and audience growth. Comfortable appearing on camera when needed. Familiarity with streaming production, live social coverage, and emerging content formats. Highly collaborative with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Passionate about discovering and sharing what makes New York City unique. Eligibility Requirements Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
