HR Business Partner

Human Resources Business Partner Rancho Cucamonga, CA – on‑site, Monday through Friday. Extensive experience with unions required. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic business partnership to client groups, supporting managers and employees on organizational and individual matters. Lead the development and deployment of HR processes, policies, and practices that drive continuous improvement and business performance. Support day‑to‑day HR activities, ensuring operational success and alignment with annual HR priorities and business objectives (recruiting, talent management, employee and leadership development, HR administration, annual HR processes, etc.). Counsel and advise managers on employee relations matters ranging from basic to complex; participate in investigations and recommend resolution. Interpret and provide guidance on company policy, procedures and employment law. Assist with workforce planning, vacancy forecasting, staffing strategies, and diversity & inclusion action plans. Coordinate the Coated Products North America learning journey, collaborating on training needs, solutions, and employee engagement programs. Manage pre‑employment assessment, onboarding, separation, benefit enrollment, and other employee activities. Maintain HR systems (HCM, time & attendance, LOA programs) and provide onboarding/offboarding processes. Prepare HR reports, analytics, and trend analyses. Participate in business‑wide projects that impact the Coated Products North America organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. 6+ years of human resources advisory experience across full HR discipline. Extensive experience working with unions. Experience supporting multi‑site, multi‑state client groups. Recruiting and staffing experience for production and professional positions. Experience planning, facilitating, and conducting training. Knowledge and application of employment laws and employee relation issues. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑SCP). Manufacturing environment HR experience. Support for employee groups at multiple sites/locations. Hands‑on experience with Workday. Knowledge of employment laws across WA/OR/CA. Key Skills & Competencies Multi‑tasking, planning, and prioritization. Presentation and meeting preparation for large groups. Analytical problem‑solving and independent decision‑making. Effective communication with employees and management at all levels. Organizational and documentation skills. Content development and delivery to manager and employee groups. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Local labor law knowledge and regulatory compliance. Safety and customer service focus. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and HR‑brand positive image.
