CMM Programmer

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing and metrology services company, is seeking a CMM Programmer to join their team. As a CMM Programmer , you will be part of the Quality & Metrology Department supporting the Metrology Lab, Prototype Team, and Manufacturing Operations . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills , attention to detail , and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CMM Programmer

Location: Trenton, Ohio.

Pay Range: $ 35 - $40 H/r

What's the Job?

• Develop and modify CMM programs using Metrologic, PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, or similar metrology software to inspect metal and plastic components.

• Run layouts and inspections on parts, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling using CMM equipment and Faro Arm technology.

• Create detailed inspection reports and communicate measurement data to internal teams and customers.

• Troubleshoot existing programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with problem-solving activities.

• Support metrology lab operations through training, fixture design reviews, calibration activities, and leadership support when needed.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

• Experience with PC-DMIS, Metrologic, PolyWorks, or related metrology software.

• Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.

• Ability to read CAD data and use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators.

• Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and APQP preferred.
