Position and Scope eXoZymes is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance team, supporting a range of corporate finance functions spanning financial planning & analysis, SEC reporting, and equity compensation administration. This is a broad, hands‑on role spanning financial modeling, securities filings support, and equity compensation calculations, ideal for someone looking to deepen their finance experience across a public company's full reporting cycle.This role reports directly to the VP of Finance / CFO. The position is full‑time and located in Monrovia, CA. Duties and Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis: Build and maintain financial models, support budgeting and forecasting cycles, and assist with variance analysis and ad hoc financial analysis for management. SEC Reporting & Filings Support: Assist with the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures), including cross‑referencing financial tables, supporting schedules, and disclosure language. Equity Compensation & Payroll: Support with management and analysis of equity compensation structures, withholding calculations, and other related analysis; assist with ad hoc payroll tasks. General Accounting: Provide support on close‑related tasks, reconciliations, and other accounting functions as needed. Skills and Experience 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.Prior work experience required. Bachelor’s degree required, with major in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred. Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and maintain multi‑tab financial models, reconcile data across sources, and troubleshoot formula errors independently Strong attention to detail and comfort working with financial data across multiple documents and formats. Able to summarize complex financial data into clear, concise updates for senior management. Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a small‑team environment. Familiar with public company reporting requirements (SEC filings, Section 16, equity compensation), or strong interest in learning them, is a plus. Requires legal authorization to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
