Job Title: Real Estate Loan Servicer

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00PM, with Saturdays based on business needs.

Salary Range: $64,400 - $90,100 which is base pay. Compensation will be based on candidate qualifications.

Job Scope/Duties

• Responsible for providing loan servicing support including assisting members with questions, processing payments and adjustments, disbursing insurance funds, and completing basic accounting and administrative duties.
• Notifies parties of errors, account related issues and provides prompt/courteous resolution.
• Tracks impounds and flood insurance, processes Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting, and obtains proof of insurance as required on member loans.
• Maintains paper records and loan files stored in the loan vault.
• Scans, classifies, labels and organizes electronic documents in Star One's imaging system.
• Assists members as needed and cross-sells products and services.
• Performs other real estate lending duties as assigned.

Experience/Minimum Education Requirements

• Requires two to four (2-4) years of current and relevant lending servicing experience within a financial institution.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance; or the equivalent level of education and experience.
• Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) required upon hire.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• General understanding of conventional mortgage loans, underwriting criteria and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of mortgage related products, procedures and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
• Consistently provide courteous, friendly, and excellent service both internally and externally.
• Must be professional, well organized, and detail oriented with the ability to work independently (under limited supervision) or as a team in a fast-paced environment.
