Illinois Licensed Coding Lead

Leading the coding operations, the full-time Illinois Licensed Coding Lead will coordinate daily priorities, manage charge review and coding-related claim work queues, and ensure accurate coding in compliance with guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities Coordinates shift operations and assigns daily tasks to coding staff while providing mentorship and training Manages charge review processes and resolves coding-related claim issues to ensure timely and accurate charge capture Analyzes coding denial trends and collaborates with teams to implement process improvements and enhance coding accuracy Required qualifications High School diploma/GED or 10 years of relevant work experience Minimum of three years of coding experience Certification as a Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Proficiency in reviewing medical records and entering CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and coding staff to resolve documentation and coding inquiries
