• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 12-Hour Days; 7:45 PM 8:15 AM; Friday, Saturday & Sunday (3x12 Weekend Schedule)

Job Summary

This is a CT Tech travel contract position located in the emergency department of a fast-paced hospital facility. The role is performed on a Siemens scanner (Model: FORCE) and involves routine ED patients, Code Stroke cases, and some trauma patients. The weekend schedule runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on 12-hour day shifts. The unit is very fast-paced, with 45 techs on first shift, 23 techs after 5 PM on second shift, 1 tech on third shift, and 2 techs on weekends. Typical caseload for one tech in an 8-hour shift is anywhere from 812 patients, with a daily caseload of 150200 scans across 4 rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging on a Siemens scanner (Model Name: FORCE) in an emergency department setting
• Conduct routine ED patient scans as well as Code Stroke and trauma patient imaging
• Perform the following CT procedures: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, and Multiplanar Reconstruction
• Manage a daily caseload of 150200 scans across 4 rooms
• Provide imaging services for patients spanning Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Operate unit systems including EPIC and Visage

Required Skills

• Siemens scanner experience use of the Siemens FORCE model is a MUST (do not apply without Siemens experience)
• Inpatient experience
• ER experience
• Adult ICU experience
• CT procedure experience: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, Multiplanar Reconstruction
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced emergency department environment
• Some trauma experience

Preferred Skills

• IV Starts
• PACS
• Contrast experience
• Visage experience

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required
• ARRT(R)(CT) certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Unit will accept 1st-time travelers

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Very fast-paced emergency department environment
• Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday no weekend RTO
• No call requirement
• No float requirement
• Patient population: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Important Notes

• RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR.
• NO WEEKEND RTO.
• The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
• The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
• Local candidates accepted (rate difference may apply).
• Manager WILL NOT extend an offer without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first. Please provide interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting.
