The Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining a positive and efficient medical practice environment. This position requires a high level of courtesy, respect, and professionalism when interacting with patients. The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting physicians in delivering quality patient care, performing various clinical and administrative tasks, and ensuring seamless coordination of patient activities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role.
• Clinic Experience: Previous experience working in a clinic or healthcare setting is required.
• Travel: Travel may be required occasionally; it is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

   • Provide patient and family education, counseling, and teaching as required.
   • Escort patients to exam rooms, gather brief medical histories, prepare patients for examinations, and record vital signs.
   • Administer injections as needed.

2. Administrative Tasks:

   • Handle clerical responsibilities, including managing referrals, scheduling appointments with other healthcare providers and facilities, completing forms, and answering phones.
   • Attend to documentation and record-keeping as required.

3. Clinical Support:

   • Assist physicians during medical examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
   • Stock and maintain examination rooms, manage medical instruments, and autoclave equipment as necessary.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with physicians to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
   • Assist in the orientation of new personnel, emphasizing nursing aspects.
   • Assume a leadership role when required in the absence of supervisory personnel.

5. Professionalism:

   • Uphold the clinic's positive public image through professional conduct and communication.
   • Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training as needed.

6. Other Duties:

   • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned or required to support the efficient functioning of the practice.
