Job Description:
North Memorial Hospital's Robbinsdale location is seeking a qualified Pathologist to join their team on a locum basis. This opportunity is open due to resignation and will continue until the position is filled with a new hire. Credentialing typically takes approximately 90 days.

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Pathology Lab
Schedule: Day shift, hours between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm depending on rotation
Call Schedule: Every 7 days
Call Ratio: 1:7

Site Details:

Average Patients per Day: 40
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1
Laboratory Certification: CAP
Cases Read per Day: 80 to 100

Physician Responsibilities:

Blood bank call at night
No responsibility for grossing specimens or cutting frozen sections
Collaborate with a team of 6 physicians, 5 histotechnologists, 1 pathology assistant, and 1 cytotechnologist
Supervision of other healthcare providers is not required
Presence of other pathologists during coverage

Available Equipment:

Cryostat: Leica
Microscope: Olympus BX40

Laboratory EMR System: Epic

Required Procedures:

Anatomic Pathology: Surgical, GI, GU, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology (Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes), Interpretation of Bone Marrow Aspirate/Biopsy, Cytology
Clinical Pathology: Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
Additional: Rapid evaluation of adequacy for image-guided biopsies
