General Position Summary Assistant Store Managers are the heart and soul of the Lids brand. These experts strive to foster a passion for sporting and fashion goods by meeting customer needs while ensuring all store areas are engaged. Responsibilities include achieving key results, creating a fun and inclusive environment for the team, and delivering exceptional customer service through expertise on Lids products and services. Responsibilities People & Training Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc., when Store Manager is not present. Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow‑up. Administer progressive discipline steps, including verbal and written warnings if necessary. Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment that supports company objectives. Establish supportive working relationships and adhere to LIDS Brand Standards (e.g., dress code). Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks. Participate in LIDS Training Programs and follow sales and task goals. Assist in recruiting and training personnel on store operations and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory safekeeping, funds, and property protection. Perform any other duties as assigned. Customer Experience Lead, execute, and assist LIDS selling strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service. Resolve customer feedback and address escalations to “make it right.” Encourage participation in LIDS membership programs or in‑store offers during live sales. Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, proper signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code. Operations Execute company‑level directives, promotions, and initiatives from LIDS HQ. Understand and follow the Policies & Procedures Manual to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain store technology and equipment (MPOS, Lids Custom, etc.) through daily audits and updates. Manage store facilities, supplies, and service requests, including repair orders and replenishment. Manage cash accurately, including opening/closing till, counterfeit protection, and bank drops. Prepare the store for inventory audits and assist in performing them. Open and close the store following Operations procedures. Product & Inventory Management Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policy guidelines. Assist in preparing store work schedules aligned with wage control guidelines. Accurately manage inventory, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and product counts. Organize the backroom for maximum efficiency and productivity. Execute optimal layout and visual merchandising strategies, including window, hardware, mannequin, and seasonal changes. Maintain store appearance with daily visual merchandising actions. Implement pricing signage and promotional adjustments during operating hours. Qualifications Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication. Ability to work unsupervised. The base pay offered may vary by geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, scheduled hours, and experience. Physical Demands & Requirements Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
