Project Accounting Coordinator

LHH is assisting a client with their need for a Project Accounting Coordinator. This is a direct hire position in Charlotte, NC. This role will focus primarily on project billing in a construction environment. Key Responsibilities Process and record customer invoices, payments, and revenue transactions accurately. Investigate account discrepancies and work with customers and field teams to resolve outstanding issues. Manage collections efforts on overdue accounts and follow up with customers regarding payment status. Monitor outstanding purchase orders and communicate with customers to obtain necessary documentation. Maintain accurate billing records and tracking logs on a daily and weekly basis. Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding invoices, charges, and account balances. Assist with monthly revenue forecasting and project financial updates. Prepare and distribute accounts receivable and collections reports. Coordinate repair and service-related communications between customers and internal teams. Provide timely administrative and operational support to field personnel. Assist with estimating material requirements and maintaining inventory levels for commonly used supplies. Process and support material and service sales requests from field crews and repair teams. Develop and maintain crew schedules, project timelines, and repair calendars. Partner with field operations to ensure projects are billed accurately and on schedule. Support special projects and other accounting or administrative initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of Project Accounting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting experience. Construction industry experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy.
