Electric Pallet Jack Operator

This role involves safely operating an electric pallet jack to pull orders and stock materials within a manufacturing facility that produces solar panels. You will work with both electronic and paper order sheets to accurately pick, stage, and move inventory throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet jack to pull customer and production orders accurately and efficiently.
• Use electronic and paper order sheets to locate, pick, and verify products according to order specifications.
• Stock, replenish, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations using an electric pallet jack.
• Load and move pallets and materials safely within the warehouse and production areas.
• Follow established procedures to ensure accurate order picking and inventory handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while operating material handling equipment.
• Inspect the electric pallet jack before use and report any issues or safety concerns.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to support daily operational goals.
• Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines while operating equipment and performing warehouse tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience operating an electric pallet jack in a warehouse or similar environment.
• At least 2 years of general warehouse experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as an order puller or order picker.
• Proficiency in order picking and loading using an electric pallet jack.
• Ability to read and follow electronic and paper order sheets accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety while operating equipment and handling inventory.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any inventory experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule and adapt to changing workload demands.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility that produces solar panels and includes work in a warehouse setting with regular use of electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. The schedule follows a 3-2-2-3 pattern, where one week typically consists of about 35 hours and the next week about 48 hours. Team members work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays every other week, and enjoy a three-day weekend on alternating weeks. The primary shift runs from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Operators may have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts for extra hours. The work environment emphasizes safety, organization, and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookshire, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr.
