Sterilization Technician
MILLENNIUMSOFT
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, etc.)
- Load and unload trucks; stage and prepare products for sterilization
- Follow Kanban/bin system requirements and FIFO rotation for materials
- Prepare documentation and verify incoming/outgoing materials (packing slips, transfer records)
- Add spores to products, assist in ethylene oxide sterilization prep
- Perform cycle counts and assist in physical inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Safely operate warehouse equipment and assist in equipment troubleshooting
- Support Sterilization Supervisor and team in operational efficiency
- Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Mandatory participation during plant shutdowns
- Minimum 2 years of experience at BD or 1 year of comparable warehouse experience externally
- Prior hands-on experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Demonstrated history of good work performance and attendance
- Strong communication, math, and computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse systems (stock locator, barcode/RFID scanners)
- Ability to safely handle hazardous materials and respond to emergencies
- Familiarity with RCRA hazardous waste regulation
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be physically and mentally capable of wearing full-face respirators and passing annual physical and fit tests
