Walmart and Retail Reporter

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the state's leading news organization, is seeking a reporter who will aggressively cover Walmart, the second largest company in the world, as well as the larger retail industry. We aren't looking for someone to regurgitate press releases or take spoon-feeding from flacks. We are looking for a dogged journalist who will relentlessly pursue big stories with real impact. No one will make it easy to get the kind of stories we seek. Delivering journalism that matters will require source-building, savvy and tenacity.
