Senior Accountant - Real Estate

National Realty Corporation is looking for a senior accountant to join our team.

You'll work closely with our leadership, and help other members of the accounting team grow.

What You'll Do Own the month-end close and prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for your portfolio Review the work of staff accountants and bookkeepers, and help train new team members Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Review lease abstracts and tenant billings for accuracy (rent, CAM, utilities, and other recoveries) Prepare and review CAM and real estate tax reconciliations Lead budgeting and forecasting for property operations and capital projects Maintain fixed asset schedules and track capital projects Strengthen and follow internal controls and accounting procedures Partner with property managers, leasing teams, and executives to resolve tenant and vendor issues Coordinate audits, tax filings, and lender reporting Provide financial analysis to support acquisitions, sales, and refinancing What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of accounting experience in any industry (real estate or property management is a plus) Experience with accounting software; Yardi, MRI, Infor, AppFolio, xhyhwjd or similar systems are helpful, and we'll train you on ours Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor others Excellent communication skills Nice to Have Experience with CAM reconciliations, real estate tax, or utility billing Familiarity with commercial or residential lease structures CPA (a plus, not required) Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No
