Whether building technology to make our hospitals more efficient, recruiting and growing incredible VEGgies, or bringing our brand to life through marketing, our VQ (VEG Headquarters) team makes it all possible—ensuring our hospitals and people have everything they need to help pets and their families.VEG is a 2025 and 2026 certified Great Place to Work.THE JOBAt VEG we find a way to say YES—and this role brings that mindset to turning learning into capability across VEG, so VEGquarters (VQ) can equip our hospitals and frontline VEGgies to grow, perform, and deliver the VEG experience consistently as we grow.As Senior Director, Talent Development Operations, you’ll lead the people and systems that turn Talent Development strategy into scalable development across VEG—connecting our programs, trainers, technology, training environments, and field partners so learning reaches hospitals consistently and effectively.You’ll build the bridge between VQ and the frontline, shaping what should be built centrally, what should be enabled closer to hospitals, and how the two work together so VEGgies can learn, practice, and grow in the flow of their work. The result is stronger teams, more consistent capability across hospitals, and a development model that can scale with VEG.WHAT YOU’LL DOTalent Development Operations: Lead and develop the managers and directors responsible for delivering the people, programs, systems, and infrastructure that help learning scale across VEG.Frontline Training Strategy: Develop how training moves from curriculum into real-world learning, practice, and reinforcement across our hospitals.Field Enablement: Equip trainers, facilitators, leaders, and subject-matter experts with the tools, standards, and support to build capability closer to the work.VQ + Field Partnership: Partner across Talent Development, Operations, and other teams to clarify what should be built centrally, what should live closer to hospitals, and how the pieces work together.Learning Infrastructure: Build and strengthen the technology, data, training environments, vendors, processes, and operating rhythms that allow learning to scale reliably.Talent Development Insights and Metrics: Use demand, capacity, quality, reach, and outcome data to surface gaps, guide investment, and continuously improve how VEG develops its peopleWHAT YOU NEED10+ years of experience leading managers and/or directors accountable for meaningful teams, capabilities, or outcomes.Experience building or materially transforming a learning, training, enablement, or workforce-development system—not only operating established programs.Experience delivering training or capability development across a distributed, multi-site, field, or frontline organization.Experience balancing enterprise consistency with the realities of different markets, locations, leaders, and teams.Strong business judgment, including making tradeoffs across people, capacity, technology, resources, and investment.Ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners through growth, ambiguity, and change.4 days in office required; HQ located in White Plains, NY.WHO YOU AREEmpathetic, instinctively taking a people-centric approach, whether supporting your colleagues or making an effort to understand different perspectivesHave a sense of humility; acknowledging mistakes, sharing credit with others, and lifting up your team’s’ accomplishmentsFeel a strong sense of ownership over your work, taking responsibility for outcomes and staying committed to achieving long-term, impactful results Curious by nature; you ask insightful questions and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow your skills and knowledgeHOW WE INVEST IN YOUCompetitive Compensation Including ($180,000 - $230,000) + bonus + benefits.Comprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one, and access to free therapy or counselingPaid parental leave, up to 12 weeks at 100% of regular salary, and offering inclusive fertility and family-building care for all types of familiesUnlimited PTO to use for vacation or sick days—however you need it!
