The Dietary Aide plays a critical role in providing high-quality, nutritious meals to patients. Job Responsibilities Deliver and collect patient meal trays. Set up tray line stations and follow portion control guidelines. Prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts, and restock floor refrigerators as needed. Set up beverage carts and assist with special events as assigned. Follow diet extensions and food safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination. Clean kitchen areas and sanitize equipment according to policy. Sort, store, and handle utensils, food, and supplies properly. Operate dish room station; record dishwasher temperatures. Ensure work areas are clean and organized before breaks and at the end of the shift. Adjust to changing assignments and complete tasks within designated timeframes. Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience. Prior food service experience helpful. Basic knowledge of cleaning and food production equipment preferred. Ability to read and write in English.
