Supply Chain Manager, New Product Introduction and Lifecycle Management

Abbott seeks a Supply Chain Manager in Sylmar, California to oversee product lifecycle management, including new product introduction and end-of-life planning. This role manages cross-functional supply chain execution, coordinates with engineering and operations teams, and includes supervisory responsibilities with visibility to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply chain program and lifecycle processes for new product development and end-of-life planning
• Coordinate material purchasing, inspection releases, and supplier selection across development phases
• Conduct total landed cost analysis, lead time analysis, and risk mitigation planning
• Provide supply chain updates to senior management and represent function in cross-departmental product development
• Supervise direct reports and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and reduce costs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Progressive materials management experience with supervisory or managerial-level responsibility
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for implantable cardiac devices and FDA regulations
• Supply chain experience supporting new product launches including demand planning and procurement
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional project teams and work in matrixed environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills across organizational levels
• Advanced computer proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and specialized supply chain applications
