Service Manager

About the Role PDQ Garage Doors is looking for a Service Manager to lead the service department in Milford, Ohio. The role is hands‑on and requires frequent travel to coach field technicians, drive revenue, and improve operational performance while delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities Lead, develop, and coach a team of service technicians through ride‑alongs, one‑on‑one meetings, and daily huddles. Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to company standards. Drive department performance by monitoring key metrics such as revenue per technician, average ticket, close rate, membership sales, customer satisfaction, callback, and warranty rates. Develop action plans to improve results and profitability, and oversee daily operations including technician scheduling and workflow. Support dispatch and customer service teams while maintaining consistent service quality. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new technicians, conducting 30‑, 60‑, and 90‑day check‑ins. Resolve customer escalations professionally and turn challenging situations into positive experiences. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the service industry. 3+ years of leadership experience coaching field technicians. Strong understanding of service performance metrics (KPIs). Proven ability to improve team performance and profitability. Experience handling customer escalations. ServiceTitan experience is a plus. Success in Your First 90 Days Build relationships with your team and establish regular coaching. Improve technician performance and operational consistency. Reduce callbacks and warranty issues while increasing revenue and customer satisfaction. Benefits Competitive Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
