This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care services, utilizing medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, including BiPAP and CPAP.
• Evaluate patient conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform arterial punctures and draw arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Assist with intubations and extubations as needed.
• Manage tracheostomy care and ventilation weaning protocols.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• 1 year of EPIC experience is required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
• Must possess a valid Tennessee CRT license.
• Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings is mandatory.
