A prominent, highly successful insurance defense firm in the New Orleans CBD is seeking a dynamic, motivated Litigation Paralegal to join their high-volume transportation practice. Core Responsibilities

  • Medical Record Mastery: Direct the collection, indexing, and deep-dive analysis of extensive medical records. Draft flawless, detailed medical chronologies for severe injury claims.
  • Transportation Defense: Assist with the collection and review of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) evidence, including driver logs, safety records, and telematics.
  • Accurate Time Capture: Utilize strong legal billing skills to accurately capture and document daily billable time in accordance with insurance guidelines.
  • Case Management & Pleadings: Draft discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and initial defense pleadings. Manage complex document reviews.
  • Docketing & Filings: Manage critical statutory deadlines, court calendars, and execute electronic filings in Louisiana State and Federal courts .

What You Bring

  • Proven litigation experience strictly within insurance defense , with preferred exposure to transportation or trucking claims .
  • Heavy experience reviewing medical records and drafting comprehensive medical summaries.
  • Strong technical proficiency in case management software and legal billing platforms.
  • An energetic, driven demeanor with a desire to collaborate in a team-first, mentored setting.
