TikTok Shop LIVE Host at CTC is the on‑camera face of the brands we work with, hosting live shopping streams across categories like apparel, wellness, food and beverage, and consumer products. You combine four skill sets in one role: Creator, Entertainer, Salesperson, and Operator. Your job is to hold attention long enough to turn entertainment into commerce. We are not looking for someone who sits in front of a camera for four hours saying, "here is the product, here is the discount, click the basket." That is QVC with a ring light, we want LIVE hosts who can run a show. The best TikTok Shop LIVE hosts will not simply be presenters; they will become mini media channels for the brands they represent. WHAT WE LOOK FOR This place isn't for everyone, but it might be for you if… YOU SET THE STANDARD You are committed to making decisions informed by research Your customer service is referenced as the bar that others strive to emulate You take pride in arriving to meetings prepared with insight to contribute You organize your time and say "no" appropriately so that you can attend to what is most critical You are committed to approaching challenge & failure with curiosity about how to improve Your word is trustworthy; you do what you say you will YOU ARE DRIVEN TO INCREASE VALUE You are passionate about building brands for the next generation You gather context ahead of meetings so that you arrive prepared with insight and input You clearly articulate your expertise so that even a beginner can understand the concept You are in the habit of documenting and reporting your work YOU CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF EXCELLENCE You seek opportunities to refine your skills without being prompted You desire to inspire others with your excellence and expertise You are willing to put in the reps to be an expert in your domain You resist the temptation to play victim; instead, you take 100% ownership over outcomes What Success Looks Like NECESSARY SKILLS LIVE SHOW HOSTING Host live selling sessions on TikTok Shop, 2+ hours at a time, on a consistent weekly schedule, building a show (not a sales pitch) with fast demos, challenges, before-and-afters, audience voting, giveaways, product battles, limited drops, timed offers, and recurring segments that give viewers a reason to stay even when they are not ready to buy LIVE STOREFRONT OPERATIONS Run the live storefront in real time: pin products, rotate SKUs, launch flash deals, run giveaways, manage offers, create urgency, read comments, handle objections, and transition cleanly between segments BRAND & CONTENT PREPARATION Learn each brand cold before going live (products, offers, claims you can and cannot make, and brand voice) and adapt the set per brand with product, decor, and backdrop changes Handle pre‑show prep and post‑show breakdown, including equipment and audio checks before every stream PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITY Held accountable to live GMV per session and per live hour, conversion rate from viewer to purchaser, watch time, average concurrent viewers, audience retention, and week‑over‑week performance growth Review performance with our live ops team after each session and refine pitches, segments, and pacing week over week ON‑CAMERA SALES ABILITY Exceptional on‑camera presence with high energy and authentic sales ability, and quick thinking to adapt mid‑stream when comments, inventory, or offers change COMMUNICATION Strong communication skills with both audiences and brand teams RELIABILITY Ridiculously reliable. Brands are not looking for someone who can go live once; they want the face of a repeatable show NEXT-LEVEL SKILLS TIKTOK SHOP / SOCIAL COMMERCE EXPERIENCE Prior TikTok Shop or social commerce experience LIVE STREAMING / UGC BACKGROUND Experience with live streaming, UGC, content creation, or on‑camera performance, and comfort learning TikTok Seller Center and LIVE operations FLEXIBLE, LAST‑MINUTE AVAILABILITY Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and last‑minute opportunities, to hit optimal live selling windows DOMAIN This role does not have direct reports MANAGEMENT This role is client‑facing — you are the on‑camera face of the brands we work with during live streams ORIENTATION How far ahead should this role be planning for? IC | Days & Weeks — preparing for and running recurring live sessions, and refining pitches, segments, and pacing week over week LOCATION In‑studio presence: filmed on site from CTC's space in Costa Mesa, CA SCHEDULE Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 10 hours per week, and consistent availability for recurring live slots (same days, same times) WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME? SALARY RANGE $35 hourly base rate, plus performance bonus tied to live session GMV (discussed in interview) Currently a 1099 contractor; benefits apply only if converted to full‑time.
