Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Sugar Land, TX 77478. This is a 6-month contract assignment (Possibilities of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name: Medical Assistant

Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478

Duration: 6+ months Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Pay rate: $20-$23/hr. On W2/Pay Rate is based on experience.

Schedule: (5 days/wk.) Typically, Mon to Fri from 8 am to 5 pm

Job Responsibilities:

1. Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
2. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
3. Assist physicians during skin biopsies, cosmetic procedures, and minor surgical excisions.
4. Prepare treatment and procedure rooms before and after patient visits.
5. Manage and operate phototherapy equipment in accordance with established protocols.
6. Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain infection control standards.
7. Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
8. Accurately complete clinical documentation and update patient records within the EMR.
9. Utilize appropriate equipment and supplies for the designated patient population.
10. Communicate effectively with patients regarding visit preparation and procedural instructions.
11. Support workflow efficiency by coordinating patient movement throughout the clinic.
12. Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school/GED or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant or 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Previous dermatology experience preferred.
