We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure cloud services and Snowflake data warehouse design and development . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance data platforms and enabling advanced analytics and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure services and Snowflake.
- Architect and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions .
- Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas , including star and snowflake models.
- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory , or similar tools.
- Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (structured and unstructured).
- Optimize Snowflake performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query tuning .
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the data platform.
- Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and architectural standards.
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure , including:
- o Azure Data Factory
- o Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- o Azure Functions / Logic Apps (preferred)
- Extensive experience with Snowflake :
- o Data warehouse design
- o Performance tuning
- o Security and access control
- o Streams, tasks, and time travel
- Proficiency in SQL and Python .
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts (Kimball, Inmon).
- Experience with Git , DevOps , and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance .
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
