Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Travel RN - First Assist with expertise in vascular and surgical procedures to support our operating room team. The nurse will assist surgeons during complex surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide first assist support during various procedures, including orthopedics, neuro, vascular, and robotics.
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and surgical supplies to ensure a safe operative environment.
• Assist with patient positioning and anesthesia management as needed.
• Document surgical procedures accurately utilizing Cerner systems.
• Adhere to unit-specific policies, safety protocols, and dress codes throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure with minimum of 2 years OR experience, specifically in first assist roles.
• Certification as CSTFA or RNFA required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with advanced surgical equipment such as DaVinci robots, Mako, and Velys robots.
• Knowledge of orthopedic trauma, neuro, vascular, and robotic surgical procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts, with excellent team communication skills.
