Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a combination of standardized assessments and in-depth observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing deficits.
• Provide targeted speech therapy sessions with an emphasis on enhancing communication, language mastery, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and healthcare providers to establish cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support progress in between therapy sessions.
• Occasionally offer inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in care throughout patients' rehabilitation journeys.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional growth by staying abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary prior to obtaining ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Possession of a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
