Project ManagerLake Mary, FLOn-Site role (Contract-to-hire)$50 - $60 per hourAbout The RoleOur Transmission & Distribution global practice is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of small to moderate transmission and substation projects on-site in Lake Mary, FL, with a contract-to-hire arrangement. As Project Manager, you will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of multiple concurrent projects, including planning, engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and project closeout. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, and in alignment with client expectations. Reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager/Program Manager, you will be responsible for overall project execution, cost and schedule management, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and successful completion of assigned projects. This role requires strong professional relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain effective communication with the Owner, internal teams, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. The position offers competitive benefits, including 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision plans, paid holidays, and a relationship-driven process to ensure your best fit.What You'll DoProvide overall management of projects from development through construction and closeout, coordinating activities including planning, siting, environmental, permitting, estimating, engineering, right-of-way, project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeoutServe as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining clear lines of communication between the client, project teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholdersDrive project schedules, manage scope, identify dependencies, and proactively coordinate activities required to meet project milestones and in-service datesMaintain detailed and accurate project cost forecasts, accruals, commitments, and monitor overall financial performanceIdentify, track, communicate, and manage project risks, issues, changes, and decisions that may impact scope, schedule, cost, or project executionCoordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring responsibilities, deliverables, priorities, and required dates are clearly communicated and understoodFacilitate project meetings, stakeholder coordination, action-item tracking, and follow-up to ensure commitments and project decisions are executedWork closely with project teams to confirm deliverables and services are being provided in accordance with client expectations, project requirements, and established program processesSupport procurement, contractor coordination, bid activities, change management, and construction readiness as required throughout project executionProvide clear and concise project reporting, including schedule, cost, risk, procurement, construction, and overall project statusProactively identify potential project impacts, escalate issues when appropriate, and coordinate with the Lead Project Manager/Program Manager and client stakeholders to develop resolution strategiesSupport consistent implementation of program processes, project controls, reporting requirements, and lessons learned across assigned projectsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited curriculumMinimum of 7 years of progressive project or program management experience (Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience)Demonstrated experience managing projects through planning, design/engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout phasesExperience managing multiple concurrent projects, priorities, project teams, and stakeholdersExperience in electric utility, transmission and distribution, infrastructure, or similar capital project environments preferredWorking knowledge of project scheduling, milestones, dependencies, and impactsWorking knowledge of project cost management, forecasting, change control, risk management, and project controlsStrong client and stakeholder management skills; ability to develop productive working relationships across organizations and disciplinesAbility to coordinate multidisciplinary technical and non-technical teams toward common objectivesAbility to understand and communicate technical project information to manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder expectations (engineering design experience not required)Ability to identify project risks, constraints, and competing priorities and proactively drive issues toward resolutionAbility to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong meeting facilitation, organization, follow-up, and action-item management skillsAdvanced analytical, reporting, and presentation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferredAbility to travel to project sites and client offices as neededValid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle driving standardsWhat's In It For You401(k) Matching PlanMedical, Dental, & Vision PlansRelationship-driven process to find your best fit6 Paid HolidaysRegular meetings to ensure quality in your engagementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) including virtual counseling, financial and legal services, and life coachingFlexible hiring models and opportunities for professional growthAbout UsAt Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
