HIV Hybrid Medical Science Liaison

Hybrid Medical Science Liaison (hMSL) – Thermatechnologies Job Overview The hMSL is a field‑oriented medical science liaison specializing in HIV therapeutics, supporting ibalizumab, tesamorelin and crofelemer. The role reports to the EVERSANA National Director‑Head of Field Medical for Thera/FuturePak and balances virtual and occasional face‑to‑face engagements. The hMSL develops proactive scientific relationships, responds to unsolicited medical queries, collaborates on strategic initiatives, and represents the company at conferences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build and maintain long‑term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) supporting existing products and disease‑state education. Respond to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information, including off‑label queries, in accordance with corporate policies and U.S. regulations. Foster professional partnerships with KOLs and HCPs in medical education and research aligned with the National Field Medical strategy. Provide rapid responses to unsolicited requests for medical information during business hours. Identify and communicate medical/scientific insights and trends relevant to Theratechnologies and its stakeholders. Document field‑generated scientific insights within the appropriate system within 48 hours and communicate them internally as required. Support medical leadership in executing aligned field strategy. Contribute to the development of medical‑affairs materials such as slide decks, publications, and internal communications. Represent Theratechnologies at medical and scientific conferences; provide scientific insights and summaries to internal stakeholders and support post‑congress resource development. Provide virtual updates on key medical congresses; collect, analyze, and summarize the impact of relevant data and competitive information. Maintain current clinical, scientific, and technical expertise through continuous learning and literature review of HIV therapeutics. Deliver medical and scientific presentations to broad audiences including physicians, nurses, and clinic staff. Identify and communicate opportunities to partner with KOLs on disease‑state and/or therapeutic‑area initiatives. Adhere to corporate SOPs and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines governing scientific interactions. Willingness to contribute to organizational goals beyond geographic territory. Travel up to 40 % of the time for congress coverage, scientific support, and field‑based educational activities. Qualifications Graduate degree and relevant clinical or pharmaceutical experience required. BSc. from an accredited institution plus one of the following: Advanced science/clinical degree (PharmD, M.D., DO, Ph.D., MSN, PA‑C) with ≥1 year of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience or Master’s in health sciences (MS, MSN, MPH, MHA) with ≥3 years of relevant experience. Combined BSc. with an MBA or BSN with an MBA, with ≥5 years of relevant experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfort with a variety of situations. Ability to learn quickly, adapt rapidly, and manage multiple shifting priorities. Challenge status quo, ask appropriate questions, and offer alternative solutions. Senior hMSL Experience Senior hMSLs have at least 4 years of MSL experience and demonstrate familiarity with regulatory guidelines and industry standards. hMSLs may have 0–3 years of experience in pharma/biotech or relevant clinical/practice/research background.
