Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Northwest Medical Center Provides high-quality emergency care to patients within a 38-bed Trauma Level III Certified emergency department. The RN is responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care, demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment. Job Details Position Description: The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care. They maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities appropriately, and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel. Required Qualifications: Valid Arizona nursing license, at least 2 years of emergency room experience, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, and the ability to work dayshift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts), minimum 36 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Charge Nurse experience (additional $3/hr. incentive), willingness to float within the facility. Additional Information: The position is scheduled to start within two weeks of offer acceptance, with an end date of 12/21/2026. The nurse must be willing to float and demonstrate flexibility. Scrub colors/dress code are black.
