CNC Machining Technician — Mill & Lathe Setup

You verify your work instructions and prints, load tools and fixtures, dial in offsets, and make smart feed/speed tweaks. You measure, adjust, and communicate what you see. As parts run, you monitor tool wear, tackle defects, and keep the program owner and your supervisor in the loop. Along the way, you share tips with less experienced teammates.Available shiftsDay: 4x10 Mon–Thu, 4:30am–3:10pmSwing: 4x10 Mon–Thu, 3:00pm–1:40amWeekend: 3x12 Fri–Sun, 6:00am–6:30pmWhat you’ll doOperate and set up CNC mills, lathes, and production machinesSet up machining jobs on vertical, horizontal, and turning centersInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related toolsFollow work instructions, prints, and quality standardsMake basic adjustments; change feeds, speeds, and perform minor edits as neededCommunicate issues and improvement ideas to the supervisor/programmerReport any edits or changes to the programmer or supervisorTroubleshoot machining defects to restore process capabilityObserve and evaluate tool wear, replacing tools proactivelyProvide training guidance to lower-skilled machinistsRequirementsHands-on experience in CNC operation, manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or shop workMeasuring tool experience—or willingness to learn (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)Comfort working with tools, parts, and production equipmentAbility to follow work instructions, prints, and quality standardsReliable attendance and strong work ethicWillingness to learn and take coachingAvailable to work day, swing, or weekend shiftsPreferredIndependent CNC setup experience2+ years of CNC experienceG-code edits and basic G-code programmingGD&T literacyExperience with Fanuc, Mazak, and/or Haas controlsMulti-axis experienceFixture building and setupAdvanced troubleshootingWhat matters mostStrong attendance, a great attitude, coachability, mechanical aptitude, comfort working with your hands, a basic quality mindset, and a willingness to grow into deeper machining responsibilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
