Job Title: Senior CNC Operator / Machinist III - (Direct Hire Opportunity)
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | Swing Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $28.30 – $39.10/hour DOE
Shift Differential: +15% for swing shift ($32.54 – $44.97/hour)
Bonus: $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
Additional: Overtime opportunities available

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Operator / Machinist to join a high-performing manufacturing team in Rancho Cordova. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC mill and lathe machines to produce high-quality parts from a variety of materials. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and prove out programs on CNC Mill and Lathe machines
• Program and edit using Mazatrol , Fanuc, and/or G-code
• Operate CNC equipment including VTL, Mazak, and BTH machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications
• Load tooling, set tool offsets, and prepare tooling for jobs
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances
• Troubleshoot machine issues and optimize performance/output
• Monitor tooling, coolant, and oil levels; make adjustments as needed
• Load and unload materials and parts per job requirements
• Perform deburring and finishing during cycle times
• Communicate programming or workholding issues to supervisors and programmers
• Assist in designing and building fixtures for upcoming jobs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members and support cross-training efforts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (technical training a plus)
• Minimum 7 years of CNC machining experience in a full-process environment
• Hands-on experience with VTL, Mazak, and BTH machines
• Strong experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Proficient with precision measuring and inspection tools
• Strong math skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and improve efficiency
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Must be able to work swing shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
