Client:        Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:   24 Months – Possible Extension/Conversion
Location:   Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift:          1st Shift | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime:   Potential overtime as needed
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Description:

Job Summary

Support supply chain and material planning by coordinating purchased-part deliveries, communicating with suppliers, managing material requirements, and supporting inventory and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the delivery of purchased parts from internal and external suppliers.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding schedule releases, delivery requirements, and material replenishment.
• Schedule purchased-material requirements, including: Economic order quantities, Optimal inventory levels, Delivery schedules, Material replenishment
• Support the implementation of effective logistics and material management processes.
• Monitor supplier logistics performance and investigate supply or delivery issues.
• Recommend timely actions to resolve supplier and material-related incidents.
• Perform routine inventory-control checks for quantity, quality, and availability.
• Collect and analyze information on cost drivers, market conditions, innovation, and alternative suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement of supply-chain operations and processes.
• Gather and report supplier/contract performance information.
• Support contract negotiations and renegotiations by providing performance data.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, actions, and events.
• Provide support to Supply Management Specialists.
• Maintain accurate supply-chain records and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Strong data collection and analysis abilities.
• Proficiency in typing and computer operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow established processes.
• Basic understanding of procurement, supply chain, inventory, and logistics processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Business, Supply Management, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with SAP.
• Knowledge of inventory control, supplier management, logistics, or material planning.

Experience

• Basic experience with simple office/operational systems is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with limited experience may be considered.
