About The Role The Human Resource Generalist will leverage organizational skills and HR experience to support employees across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. This role serves as a key point-of-contact for HR-related matters, partnering closely with ADP TotalSource to coordinate processes across the employee lifecycle and ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, or a related role, including experience supervising and developing HR support staff Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification preferred Experience working in a PEO environment, preferably with ADP TotalSource or similar platforms Experience supporting employees across multiple states and locations Strong knowledge of onboarding, employee lifecycle processes, benefits coordination, leave administration, and workers’ compensation workflows Working knowledge of employment practices and compliance requirements in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York Strong organizational, communication, and employee support skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and process improvement skills Experience supporting recruiting coordination and partnering with external recruiting agencies preferred Demonstrated commitment to staying current on HR compliance, employment practices, and industry trends Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship Essential Functions Serve as the primary internal HR contact for employees across multiple locations, providing guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle Coordinate HR processes with ADP TotalSource and external partners, including onboarding, benefits, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and offboarding Support recruiting and onboarding activities, including offer coordination, pre-employment processes, and new hire experience Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR policies, processes, employee relations, and compliance matters Supervise and support HR administrative staff, ensuring efficient day-to-day people operations Maintain accurate employee records, reporting, and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance Assist with HR reporting, process improvements, training initiatives, and cross-functional projects to support business operations Yankee Home is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the position and to participate in the application and interview process, in accordance with applicable law.
