About the job:

As the Staff Accountant, you are part of a dynamic team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the company accounts receivable, draft financial reports, and management reporting. This position works directly with Senior Management.

Work Location: Downtown Manhattan (Chelsea), NY or Bronx, NY – In-Person, 5 days per week.

What You Will Be Doing:

Accounts Receivable

·        Post accounts receivable by processing cash receipts; credits; checks; ACHs; and wire transfers.

·        Perform daily cash reconciliations by salesperson.

.       Work with customers on billing issues.

·        Remotely deposit checks into bank and record transactions in QuickBooks.

Other Areas of Finance

· Assist in preparing monthly and, on an as-needed basis, management financial reports.

·        Responsible for entering journal entries in QB online, completing monthly bank reconciliations,                and preparing draft financial statements.

·        Assist in providing documents to outside accountants.

Minimum Qualifications :

·        BA/BS in Accounting, preferred

·        2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.

·        Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

·        QuickBooks Enterprise experience preferred.
