Salary: $21.00 - $22.00/hour (DOE)

The Opportunity:

The warehouse technician is responsible for maintaining required inventory levels ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; processes purchase orders; load outgoing freight; unload incoming freight; maintains records; and manages all returns. Position requires work inside as well as outside, including working in inclement weather.

Responsibilities:

• Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively
• Ensure customer orders are correct and assists customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are met at all times.
• Safely lifts, pushes, pulls, and lowers up to 450 lbs. barrels of lubricants numerous times daily.
• Maintains quantities of bulk oil and notifying supervisor of any discrepancies.
• May be required to fill in for city delivery driver.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED, preferred but not required.

Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to use safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugs
• 2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to acquire DOT medical card prior to starting
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification with 3 months
• Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situation
